Beautiful barn conversion set in fantastic countryside and yet only 5 mins drive from the centre of historic Richmond, known as the "gateway to the Yorkshire Dales". Great scenery, great walking and great pubs! Richmond has a Norman castle and the world famous Georgian Theatre. See the spectacular falls on the River Swale, England's fastest flowing river. Richmond is 1 hours drive from the vibrant cities of Newcastle, York, and Leeds. Also about 1 hour away is the Lake District which offers water sports and many beautiful walks. A very friendly place to stay and enjoy a holiday. For families there is a swimming pool 5 mins drive away. The local school offers sports facilities. There is a large indoor play area 15mins drive away. The Yorkshire coast is around 90 mins drive away where you can hire a boat, play in the sand or discover the amusements, as well as enjoy all the historic architecture around Whitby. About 10 mins drive inland from here is the North Yorks steam railway (The station that the Hogwarts express left from) where you can enjoy a day travelling the moors in an old steam engine.You could also visit Alnwick castle which is Hogwarts School of magic, but enough of Harry. There are so many local attractions for families, it is difficult to list them all.
