Many fun things to do include Kelly Tarltons, ferries depart from the Viaduct to Waiheke Island (30 mins) famous for its vineyards, cafes and art. 30 minutes to east coast surf beaches and forests.2-3 hours to Northland, Coromandel and Rotorua. 4 hours drive from Mt Ruapehu for skiing.
