Observatory is a diverse, vibrant, interesting, relaxed and friendly suburb a mere 7 km’s from Cape Town’s city centre.
The vast majority of the houses and buildings are of Victorian design giving this suburb a quaint feel.
The hub of the suburb is Lower Main Road which is filled with interesting shops, pubs and restaurants. And if you’re in the mood for a bigger selection of nightlife or day time activities, the city centre is a mere 10 mins away and easily accesible.

It is extremely conveniently situated:
• Next to the Main road that runs all the way from Cape Town’s city centre as far as Cape Point.
• 15 mins from CT Int. airport
• 10 mins from CT city centre
• 10 mins from Waterfront
• 10 mins from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
• 15 min from Table Mountain cable car
• 5 minutes from the University of Cape Town
• Public transport and affordable ‘minibus’ taxis are on your doorstep.


The house is semi-detached and in a very quiet street situated one block from the hub of the suburb, Lower Main rd.
It is very unassuming on the outside, but on stepping in you enter a world of light with a magical flow throughout between inside and out.
It has a spacious open plan lounge dining and kitchen area.
With enormous glass sliding doors one can open the entire house up onto the inner courtyard. On warm summers evenings it’s a perfect place to make a barbecue….and then you can wander off to any one of the nearby restaurants for dessert & coffee!
