A gate opens at the end of a tree-lined road… Beyond it lie the sloping greens of an immaculately maintained golf course at the edges of which terracotta tile roofs, saffron yellow façades, wrought iron balconies and the glinting windows of elegant cumba bays can be seen. These are modern homes, with every imaginable amenity, each one carefully designed to blend in not only with their lovingly landscaped setting but with a tradition of architecture and the inspiration of the great Turkish architect Mimar Sinan, whose awesome aquaducts rise up in the distance.
