We live in a lovely quiet area of Ottawa. Our home sits on the banks of the Rideau River across from a park. It feels like we live in the country yet we are very close to the centre of Ottawa. It's three blocks to the bus for a 5 km ride to downtown, the Parliament Buildings and the many national museums (National Gallery and the Museum of Civilization). You can walk to the Arboretum, the Glebe, Carleton University, the Rideau Canal and Dow's Lake. We have bicycles. Ottawa has a wonderful network of bicycle paths.
We have a cottage on Round Lake. It's about 200 km from Ottawa near Algonquin Park. We just rebuilt to create a beautiful log home. There's a picture of our Chalet in the pictures of Osborne Street. It was taken two days ago after the first dusting of snow of the winter.
