Mt Eliza is a good base to explore both the Mornington Peninsula and/or the City of Melbourne.
We are 8metres walk to Ranelagh Beach Which is lined with Victorian bathing boxes where you can sit and take in the view of Melbourne's sky scrapers, the You Yangs, the Dandenongs and Geelong. You get glimpses of the lights of Melbourne and the passing freighters from our back porch.
The beaches of Melbourne and Mt Eliza were made famous by the Heidelberg school of painters early last century and the 1959 Hollywood movie On the Beach with Gregory Peck.
We are 500 metres walk to the local shops where you can purchase fresh produce or eat out at a variety of restaurants.
The Mornington Peninsula is reknown for its wineries, golf clubs, restuarants, art galleries, antique markets, jazz festivals, surf and bay beaches.
One hour easy train ride around the bay takes you to Melbourne which hosts the Grand Prix, AFL football and cricket at the MCC, Moomba festival, Melbourne Cup and Australian Tennis Open. Melbourne has great Art Galleries, Museums ,Opera, Ballet and Theatre venues hosting great names.

Our home is 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom with a queensize bed in each bedroom. 2 bathroom, lounge kitchen familyroom, dining room and large outdoor decking with BBQ and view of the garden and its visiting Kookaburras, lorikeets, wrens, wattlebirds, magpies, butcher birds and possums
