Lakeside on an Island two hours north of Manhattan

Lovely, luxurious new timber-frame lakefront home in a gated community on a small island in a lake two hours north of New York City, in the Hudson Valley, minutes from the Berkshires.

Mountain views and sunsets over the water. Mature trees. (Oak, Pine, Birch, Maple, etc.) Private lakefront for swimming (300 ft.), dock, kayak, small sailboat, small catamaran, motorboat for water-skiing. Two separate lakeside sitting areas - one with red chairs and one with green. Golf, restaurant and marina within walking distance.

Large main floor master suite with king bed and marble bathroom, Jacuzzi tub and seperate shower as well as private deck with hot tub. Eat-in chef's kitchen with stone patio and large gas grill, additional dining areas inside and out, two fireplaces. Great Room with cathedral ceiling and three large sofas. Two more bedrooms upatairs, one queen and one with two twins, large open loft area with baby grand piano and bathroom with jetted tub and seperate shower. Another full bedroom in basement with double bed and twin bed and bathroom with shower. Completely and comfortably furnished, with many Western and Asian antiques. Good quality mattresses and linens. All bedrooms have windows on three sides with glimpses of the lake through the trees.

There could be space for two more guests on trundle bed in screened/windowed porch overlooking lake.

We have two cats. One is an ocicat named Pip and the other a toyger named Kyar ("char"). They come and go through built-in cat doors. (Not at all spoiled mind you...)
