We are open for destinations in Europe.
We have already done homexchanges in Australia - a great experience!

We have a four bedroomed house in the South of Austria. The small village
called Zettling is very close (6 miles) to Graz, which is the capital of Styria.
The house is located in a quiet street beside a forest, was built in 1998 and is
bright and airy, with all modern conveniences.Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms,
one balcony, one bathroom and one toilet. All bedrooms are large.
Downstairs there is a large living/dining room, another bedroom, bathroom/
toilet and a well fitted kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer and
dishwasher. We have Satellite Television and a Computer with an unlimeted
High Speed Internet Access, DVD recorder, DVD Player, Washing Machine and
a Tumble Drier. Outside there is a terrace and a garden, which has the sun for
most of the day. There is also parking for two cars in a garage. Outside you
can play soccer, table tennis, swim in the natural pond, which we share with
our very friendly neighbours. Four minutes from our home there is also a
children´s playground in the wood. In another part of the village you can play
tennis or practise kart racing. There are also some ponds (2 miles) where you
can dive or waterski with a lift. In winter you can skate in an ice pavilion or on
our(smaller)own pond. It needs a 45 minutes car travel to reach various ski
resorts.
In Styria, you‘ll find all the attractions of Austria in one province. The Styrian
people, well known for their hospitality, invite you to discover the diversity of
their province. With its wide range of holiday offers Styria caters for all tastes,
from pure relaxation holidays to challenging sports experiences and the
province is an attractive destination throughout the year. Styria enjoys a
reputation of being the culinary centre of Austria. A 30 minutes’ drive will
take you to the winelands with excellent Sauvignon and Chardonnay or to the
Alps. In winter times you may try alpine skiing in the famous Austrian skiing
areas (next 45 minutes), a cross country skiing track you will find at a 20
minutes drive from home.
Summer activities as hiking, swimming in one of the nearby lakes, canyoning,
rafting, paragliding, golfing, horseback riding you can practice in many places
in the nearby surroundings. 2 hours trips lead you to the famous cities of
Vienna and Salzburg. It’s a 30 miles’ trip to the Slovenian border, 80 miles to
the Austrian lake district of Carinthia, 70 miles to the Hungarian border, 100
miles to the Italian border and 250 miles to Venice, Italy. In winter it is also
fine to relax in one of several resorts with outdoor pools in the surroundings
of Graz.
Zettling is a small, long village (1400 inhabitants)quite quiet and rural. 7
minutes per car there are two big Shopping malls.
Graz is a wonderful medieval town of 230.000 inhabitants located at the
southern edge of the Austrian Alps. Graz boasts Europe's largest medieval
down-town and is registered as a world heritage site. In 2003 Graz was
"European´s Cultural Capital". For more details and pictures look at:

We are: Josef, married to Carmen for 16 years, our sons Daniel (14) and
Christian (10) and our daughter Marisa (8). We have lived in this house and
region for 8 years. Before that we lived in Graz. We moved to Zettling for the
fresh air and tranquillity of rural life. Also it was important for us to stay not
too far away from a bigger town.
Josef works as business consultant and psychotherapist and Carmen starts to
go back to her work as a clerical assistant.
